OCR/AI-based spot billing and mobile revenue collection for both of Bihar's power distribution utilities, South Bihar Power Distribution Co. Ltd. (SBPDCL) and North Bihar Power Distribution Co. Ltd. (NBPDCL), certified directly by each utility, not self-reported.
Since August 2021 (SBPDCL, NIT No. 01/PR/SBPDCL/2021) and July 2021 (NBPDCL, NIT No. 02/PR/NBPDCL/2021), Data has run spot billing and revenue collection across urban and rural areas of both utilities: field agents billing consumers on the spot using OCR/AI meter-reading, then collecting payment on the same visit via thermal Bluetooth printers, e-wallets, and POS machines.
